PURPOSE:To enable adjusting offset of a tracking error signal and making a sampled error signal contribute to the servo control by holding interchangeability between an optical disk of a continuous composite-servo system and an optical disk of a sample-servo system. CONSTITUTION:The number of segments per one sector is made to be 41 segments in a sector format. Then, one servo byte is arranged at the front position of each segment, especially, 15 bytes are arranged at a segment '0' as a header, and various address information is previously recorded there. Segments 1-400 after this are divided into data storing regions by 16 bytes, and a servo byte of one byte is provided at the front of each segment. This device is constituted as the above and a resync pattern is made included in a data signal read out from a servo byte SB of data storing region MO corresponding to a rewritable magneto-optical recording medium, and this resync pattern is corresponded to an optical disk SB of a sample-servo system and a resync Rs of a continuous composite-servo system. |
