PURPOSE:To read a desired character pattern out while discriminating the character form of a character pattern which is already stored by comparing and matching respective stored pieces of information with respective inputted pieces of information and reading the character pattern out according to the result. CONSTITUTION:An information part IF holds font scalar information FS, the identifier of a character set, a registered character code IF2, and the size IF3 of the character of the character pattern. Thus, different pieces of character form information corresponding to the same character code are individually stored, and respective character patterns generated based on the stored, respective character codes, respective pieces of character form information, and respective pieces of generating means information are stored, and the respective stored character codes, pieces of character form information, and pieces of generating means information are compared and collated with respective inputted character codes, pieces of character form information, and pieces of generating means information, thereby reading stored character patterns out according to the comparison and collation results. |
