PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a transom by a method wherein the size, in the direction of a face, of the transom is reduced, in a double opening/closing automatic door wherein a plurality of interlocking doors are moved in the same direction and an opening is opened and closed. CONSTITUTION:First and second rails 80a and 80b, a driving pulley 4 consisting large and small pulleys 4b and 4a, and a driven pulley consisting of large and small pulleys are provided in a transom 2 above an opening part. Driving belts 6a and 6b are run around the small pulleys of the driving pulley and the driven pulley and the large pulleys, respectively, thereof. Low and high speed doors 1a and 1b are suspended from the first and second rails through first and second supporting bodies 100a and 100b having runners 9a and 9b running over the respective rails. The driving pulley is driven by a driving device to open and close the low and high speed doors. The second rail is coupled to or formed integrally with a first support body and is extended in parallel to the first rail in the direction of the thickness of a door, the second rail being extended over the low speed door toward the side in a closing direction. |
