摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the shift shock and prevent any adverse effect to auto exhaust gas from occurring by delaying the ignition timing of an engine at a time when a car is in gear shifting during the travel at both economy and power modes respectively, and reducing this timing delay value relatively at the time of shift of the power mode. CONSTITUTION:An automatic transmission 10 is composed of a torque converter 1 with a lockup mechanism, a gearshift 2 and an input route selector device 3 equipped with three clutches C (1 to 3) which are controlled for selection by a microcomputer 24 via a hydraulic controller 20 on the basis of various types of driving information on an engine. In addition, this microcomputer 24 controls an igniter 31 of the engine. In this case, at the time of gear shifting when a car is running at both economy and power modes, ignition timing at these modes is delayed respectively. This timing delayed value of the ignition timing is relatively reduced at the time of shift at the power mode. With this constitution, a shift shock at each mode travel is reduced and simultaneously any adverse effect to exhaust gas is prevented from occurring.
