PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film excellent in surface uniformity, quality of traveling, scuff resistance and abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film has on at least one surface thereof a coating layer provided in the course of production of the polyester film. The coating layer is formed from a water-based coating contg. 0.1-50wt.% aq. dispersion of aluminum oxide of at most 1mum in average particle size, treated with a cationic surfactant and a nonionic or anionic surfactant, the amts. of which are 0.0001 to 0.05 time and 0.01 to 0.5 time, respectively, that of the solid aluminum oxide. |
