PURPOSE:To easily confirm whether an elastic locking piece is located in a position suitable for the ring-like swollen part of piping, or not, through making sure whether a confirming member can be removed or not by arranging the confirming member, to be engaged with the elastic locking piece, when the elastic locking piece of a holding tool is raised. CONSTITUTION:A holding tool 4 is mounted on the opening 2a of a joint main body 2 while it is engaged with the opening by means of its jaw part 4b and the nail rear surface 4c of an elastic locking piece 4a. A confirming member 8 is inserted from the lateral direction of the joint main body 2, and an engagingly attached wall 9 of the confirming member 8 is engaged with the opening 2a. Thereafter, piping 1 is inserted into a connector. At the time of imperfect connection of the piping 1, since the elastic locking piece 4a is positioned in front of the ring-like swollen part 1a of the piping 1, the confirming member 8 can be easily removed. When the tip of the elastic locking piece 4a is stopped in its insertion in a condition where the tip part is overlapped on the ring-like swollen part 1a, the notched part 10 of a locking nail 11 is made to abut on the elastic locking piece 4a to make the confirming member 8 unextractable, the imperfect connection of the piping 1 can be conformed. |
