PURPOSE:To prevent the defect of an image from being caused by transferring and sticking of a releasing agent used at the time of fixing toner to a photosensitive drum through a recording material. CONSTITUTION:A spacer particle applying device 60 storing spacer particles S is disposed in a carrying path Ru between a resist roller 23 and a transfer drum 9. Thus, the spacer particles S are applied to the upper surface side of the recording material P supplied to the drum 9. Even when the releasing agent such as oil, etc., is stuck to the upper surface side of the recording material P because of both-side copying, a spacer particle layer is interposed between the recording material P and the drum 9 at the time of carrying the recording material P on the drum 9, so that the releasing agent is not directly brought into contact and stuck to the surface of the transfer drum. The releasing agent is not transferred and stuck to the photosensitive drum 3 from the drum 9. |
