Material is fed by bucket 86 operated by power cylinder 70 and is discharged therefrom into hopper 10, whence it is delivered by vibrating pan 21 into discharge shoot 16. Bucket 86 is carried by arms 84 secured to sheaves 71, 72 carried by wheeled yoke 66 and stationary cables 73, 78 pass respectively round the sheaves and are secured to fixed points at their ends, so that, as the bucket 86 is raised by the cylinder, the sheaves 71, 72, and therefore the arms 84, are rotated to deposit the material rearwards into hopper 10. Additionally, a locking pin 42 is floatingly carried by chain 87 secured to wheeled yoke 66 so that it reciprocates as the bucket reciprocates. However, if the vibrating pan ceases to work, the locking pin is secured by the operator as shown to the bottom of the hopper 10 and the hopper 10 is then caused to pivot about point 26 by operation of cylinder 70 to discharge the material into shoot 16. |
