PRODUCTION OF HIGH-CONCENTRATION SURFACTANT PASTE

PURPOSE:To obtain a paste which contains an anionic surfactant in a high concn. and can be handled at a low viscosity by adding a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether to a paste contg. an anionic surfactant and then concentrating the paste. CONSTITUTION:The paste is obtd. by adding a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether as a viscosity reducing agent to a paste contg. 30-75wt.% anionic surfactant and then concentrating the paste. A suitable anionic surfactant is of a sulfuric ester salt type or a sulfonic acid salt type. A suitable f ether is one represented by the formula (wherein R1CO is an 8-18C fatty acid residue; OA is oxyalkylene, pref. oxyethylene; n is the mean number of moles of the oxyalkylene group added and pref. is 8-30; and R2 is 1-5C alkyl).
