PURPOSE:To obtain new antibiotics useful for treatment for various kinds of infectious diseases, especially infectious diseases caused by a gram-positive and multiple-drug-resistant bacterium. CONSTITUTION:An antibiotic stalobacin A having the following physical properties: Melting point, decomposition at 240 deg.C (as Na salt); LSI-MS maximum peak (m/z): 1483; HRLSI-MS: 1483.7347; (MH<+>)(m/z): C61H107N14O28, theoretical value: 1483.7372; IR (KBr)(cm<-1>): 3385.1748 and 1653.1526; UV (H2O): absorption at the terminals; (epsilon) in 210nm: 36300; CD: [theta]196-77020, [theta]212+3159, [theta]231-33480, [theta]257+4028; HPLC holding time (min): 7.8; amino acid analysis (molar ratio): HyAsp(1), Asp(1), Ser(2), HyIle(1), Gly(1) and Ala(1). This antibiotic stalobacin A is obtained together with stalobacin B to G by culture of Pseudomonas sp. PBJ-5360 (FERM BP-4342). |
