The method for preparing refrigerated food comprises (a) mixing starch such as curried rice, spathetti, capped rice or soup with gelatin (b) heat-treating the mixture at 60-80 deg.C (c) gelatinizing it by refrigeration rapidly at 0-10 deg.C for 10-30 min., and (d) storing the obtained food at -3 - -10 deg.C.
