<p>PURPOSE:To provide the magnetic head device having a tape guide which is excellent in sliding characteristic. CONSTITUTION:At least the magnetic tape sliding part 7 of the tape guide 3 of the magnetic head device having a magnetic head 5 and the tape guide 3 for regulating the traveling position of a magnetic tape 8 on at least one side in the traveling direction of the magnetic tape consists of a high-polymer resin contg. 5 to 40wt.% TiO2 having 0.05 to 0.15mum average diameter and 3 to 12mum average length. As a result, the TiO2 is short in length and is, therefore, easily mingled uniformly with the high-polymer resin, by which the sufficient smooth surface is obtd. and the friction resistance is lowered. The sliding characteristic of the magnetic tape is thus improved. The sufficient mechanical strength is obtd. by incorporating the TiO2 into the high-polymer resin and, therefore, the dislodgment of the magnetic powder of the magnetic tape does not arise and the unequal wear of the tape guide is suppressed.</p> |
