PURPOSE:To produce a plate-shaped artificial stone capable of being used in the peripheral member of an artificial stone counter. CONSTITUTION:A raw material B for producing an artificial stone consisting of a resin and a filler is injected in a shallow lower mold (a) consisting of a bottom plate 1 and side frames 2 at least one of which is freely detachable and the air bubbles (p) of the raw material B on the side of the bottom plate 1 are removed by vibrating the lower mold (a). Next, an upper mold (b) is mated with the lover mold (a) to assemble a form A. The form A is vertically erected to detach the upper side frame 2 and vibration is applied to the form A to confine residual air bubbles (p) in the raw material B and the raw material B is cured to be demolded.
