<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of an operator by automatically discriminating the mounting state of a file unit, and switching it into a configuration suited to the mounting state. CONSTITUTION:This system is applied to a compact computer device equipped with more than two slots for mounting hard disk units 1 and 2 so as to be freely attachable and detachable, and the system is equipped with a mounting state detecting circuit 5 which detects the hard disk units 1 and 2 mounted on each slot. Then, the system is equipped with a control circuit 11 which switches the hard disk units 1 and 2 into those for the main control or those for the sub-control, and switches 3 and 4 for inputting signals to switch the hard disk units 1 and 2 into those for the main control or those for the sub- control to the control circuit 11, based on the positions of the slots on which the hard disk units are mounted, and the number of the hard disk units, which are discriminated by the mounting state detecting circuit 5.</p> |
