Duroplastic mixts. for moulded or abrasive articles

Duroplastic mixts. contg. novolaks, resins, fillers and opt. additives, are prepd. from (a) solid novolak, curing agent and oil or oil-like substance; and (b) a mixt. comprising resin, fillers or abrasive particles and opt. additives.The curing agent is pref. hexamethylenetetramine and the oil or oil-like substance is pref. chosen from paraffin oil, anthracene oil, naphthenic oil, diesel oil, etc.. (a) is pref. prepd. by homogeneously mixing a novolak-curing agent mixt. with an oil or oil-like substance, or by intensively mixing the curing agent with the oil or oil-like substance and then adding the novolak, (b) pref. comprises a liq. resin prepd. by the basic condensation of phenol and formaldehyde in a mol. ratio of 1:0.7-4 (1:1), aluminium oxide, SiC, FeS2, Na3(AlF3) and/or potassium fluoroborates, fine-particle copolymers of vinylidene- and vinyl chloride, K2SO4, ZnSO4 and BaSO4 as abrasive agents and fillers, and opt. additives.
