RESTRAINING ELEMENT FOR PRESSURE PIPE JOINTS A restraining element for preventing separation of telescoped pipes comprising a compressible body of elastomeric material, said compressible body having metal segments spaced equidistantly around an exposed face of the body, each of the metal segments having a first exposed face with a row of teeth, at least four teeth of said row of teeth lying in an arc, and at least some of said metal segments having a single tooth extending radially outwardly beyond the face of the metal segment opposite said first exposed face.
