PURPOSE:To attain accurate automatic focusing by detecting the coincidence between a value of a motor position memory and a present motor position in restoring a focusing ring and stopping the motor after a prescribed excessive value takes place. CONSTITUTION:As soon as a 2nd mode is commanded while representing the present evaluation at an output of a 1st comparator 8 is smaller than a 1st preset threshold value than the maximum evaluation value, the focus motor 3 is reversed. After the reversing, the content of a motor position memory 13 is compared with the present motor position by a 3rd comparator 30. The content of the motor position memory 13 and the present motor position are compared at the same time, and after both of them are coincident, the motor position is moved excessively by the motor restoration correction of a correction quantity storage circuit 15 and then the motor position coincidence signal is outputted to a focus motor control circuit 10. Thus, a focus ring 2 restores to the position representing the maximum value of the focus evaluation value accurately to obtain the accurate automatic focusing. |
