PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a maximum likelihood estimation circuit by calculating the mutual correlation with the past received signal, applying the communication channel estimation parameter calculated in the past, and stopping the adjustment of synchronization and the estimation of a communication channel. CONSTITUTION:A training sequence pattern storing part 4 is provided together with a synchronization adjustment pattern storing part 6, and a communication channel estimation parameter storing part 8. A synchronization adjusting part 25 contains a selection circuit 51 and a communication channel estimation processing part 27 contains a selection circuit 71 respectively. Then the execution or the discontinuation is selected for the adjustment of synchronization and the estimation of communication channels for th each frame based on the output of the part 4 and the calculation result of the mutual correlation with the training sequence pattern of the present receiving signal. |
