PURPOSE:To provide an aqueous or oily ball point pen ink having a good flow and rust prevention for the ball by dissolving or dispersing lanolin derivatives in a vehicle containing coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:A ball point pen ink produced by dissolving or dispersing a coloring agent and lubricating oil consisting of lanolin derivatives in a vehicle. The lubricating oil contains lanolin fatty acid which has 7% of 10-32C n-fatty acids, 23% of 10-32C iso-fatty acids, 30% of 9-31C anteiso-fatty acids, 35% of hydroxy fatty acids, and 5% of other fatty acids, lanolin alcohol which has 22% of 13-33C fatty acid alcohols, 37% of 27C cholesterols represented by the formula I, 39% of 30C triterpene alcohols represented by the formula II, and 2% of other alcohols, and their derivatives such as, for example, an ethylene oxide adduct of the lanolin fatty acid. In case of oily ink, 0.5-20wt% of the lanolin derivatives are added, while in case of aqueous ink, 0.01-15wt% of the lanolin derivatives are added thereto. |
