<p>PURPOSE:To prevent fluidity of the electrophotographic carrier from being reduced and to stabilize its electrification property by providing a resin coating layer which comprises a cured product of a mixture of a specific methyl silicone resin and methylated melamine on the surface of the core of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the carrier core is provided with the resin coating layer which comprises the cured product of the mixture of the methyl silicone resin contg. a >=70% T unit and the methylated melamine resin having a >=700 mol.wt. As the carrier core, a ferrite based particle is suitable and a manganese, copper or zinc based ferrite particle is desirable. The particle size of the carrier core is preferably within the range of 10 to 200mum, and more preferably within the range of 30 to 150mum. Also the saturation magnetization of the carrier core within the range of 35 to 70 emu/g is preferred. The amount of charge is stabilized and the scattering and the fogging of the toner is prevented from generating by using the developing agent consisting of the toner which contains a coloring agent and a binding resin having a 3 to 40 acid value, in combination with this carrier.</p> |
