The baseplate is either rigidly connected with the housing, or is designed so that it can be moved backwards against the feed direction. Alternatively/and swivelable laterally at both sides about 45 deg., or/and it can be rotated about 180 deg. at its plane. A recess is provided for the reception of chip tearing protection bodies, serving for guidance on the workpiece. The baseplate of the saw in addition is designed height adjustable, and can be set at different distances to the housing. ADVANTAGE - Permits use of longer section of blade to give more economic use and widens application.
