<p>PURPOSE: To present a golf ball composed of a core and outer skin containing a plural number or more high acid content ionomer resins. CONSTITUTION: Respective high acid content ionomer resins used in the composition a mixture for the outer skin are to contain normally carboxylic acid more than 16wt.%, preferably carboxylic acid approx. 17-25wt.%, more preferably carboxylic acid approx. 18.5-21.5wt.% of the residual carboxylic acid and of the high acid content ionomer used in the composition for the outer skin is partially, say, normally 10-75%, pref. 30-70%, neutralized by metal ion such as sodium, zinc and magnesium ion. Golf ball manufactured thus using above two or more high acid content ionomer resin mixture would realize a longer flight distance without losing characteristics such as competition ability and/or durability compared to the ball using low acid content ionomer and/or low and high acid content ionomer mixture.</p> |
