Target in form of metal figure collapsing when hit - is raised amongst bushes, branches etc. to vertical position, with mercury@ switch blocking electrical component so that pulse generator is not activated

When the target figure (1) is raised from the horizontal to the vertical position it can be exposed to thrusts and knocks. When it lies protected in a horizontal position a mercury switch (9) blocks an electrical component so that a pulse generator (7) cannot be activated by vibrations in the metal target figure when it knocks against bushes, branches and the like during the raising process. One second after the target figure has reached the vertical position the blocking by the mercury switch (9) is stopped. When the projectile hits the target figure the pulse generator closes a circuit in the electrical component which starts an electric motor (14) turning an eccentric plate (15). This causes a rocker arm (11) with a hook (12) to release a pin (13) so that the target holder (10) with the metal target figure (1) drops by its wt. to the horizontal position.
