PURPOSE: To obtain the optical mixer having an intensity noise suppression function for a heterodyne receiver and the receiver provided with the mixer. CONSTITUTION: This mixer has a coupler 31, having two optical input ports 32, 33 for a reception signal ES and a local oscillation signal EL and two optical output ports 34, 35, a member 37 to produce an optical path length difference between the optical signals from the two output ports 34, 35, a photodetector 36, and members 34',35' to send the optical signal to the photodetector 36 by other beam. Thus, the mixer has an optical fiber with a simple configuration and needs no polarized light effect device. |
