PURPOSE:To obtain the monitor for the video telephone set in which various displays are attained on a display screen and a way of the diversified use is realized. CONSTITUTION:The monitor of the video telephone set is provided with a slave picture magnification reduction processing means 3111, a cursor position recognition processing means 3112, a display changeover switch 375, a picture in picture section 372, and a display device 17. The slave picture magnification reduction processing means 3111 implements processing of magnification or reduction of a slave picture based on magnification/reduction information from a mouse 22 or the like. The cursor position recognition processing means 3112 forms display information of a cursor based on position information from the mouse 22 or the like. The display changeover switch 375 replaces self picture data from a camera 16 or a VTR or the like with the other party picture data or vice versa. The picture in picture section 372 users the self picture or the other party picture as a master picture and synthesizes the result of processing of the processing means 3111, 3112 and supplies the result to the display device 17. |
