STATE DISPLAY LAMP FOR BATTERY OPERATED ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To realize state display in a third power source state with low power consumption and to inform the consumtion degree of a battery by providing an operation state display lamp displaying the operation state of a main body device by controlling the cycle of flickering or/and the ratio of lighting/ lighting-out times. CONSTITUTION:The state display is realized by not continuously lighting but properly flicker-displaying the display lamp 9 for showing conducting in the third power source state of minimum power consumption necessary for storing the storage content and the operation state of a storage device. As power consumed by the display lamp 9 is increased/decreased in accordance with the ratio of the lighting/lighting-out times, power consumption can be reduced as compared with that in the case of continuously lighting. Besides, the consumption state of the battery 2 can be displayed by varying the flickering cycle. The operation state of PC and the consumption degree of the battery are reported to a user by repeating flickering in a short cycle in the case of needing emergency dealing because the battery is consumed and in a long cycle in the case when the third power source state has no problem.
