PURPOSE:To efficiently recognize a score with a small calculation quantity and to accurately recognize events on the score and output a musical sound. CONSTITUTION:Objects in image data are recognized by using a reference pattern consisting of a distribution pattern of points where dots should be present and points where dots should not be present as to the respective objects. At this time, an evaluated value of matching including not only the respective points of the reference pattern, but also their peripheral pixels is found to provide easy object recognition which is not affected by the deformation, blur, noise, etc., of an image. |
