摘要 In the vehicle safety arrangement, the energy generated by a collision is used to trigger a compensating acceleration inside a damping compensation path. The acceleration and damping arrangements can be mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electromagnetic, or pyrotechnic.The motion and counter motion sections are equal or approximately equal. Airbags (13)are provided along with seatbelts (10). Impact sensors (11) mounted on the periphery of the vehicle body work in conjunction with a trigger mechanism (12) to ensure a maximum reaction time of the safety system of 3/100 seconds. The trigger mechanism moves over a distance of about 30 cm relative to the mass to be damped. ADVANTAGE - Significantly reduces load on human body resulting from impact energy without requiring fundamental vehicle design changes.
