PURPOSE:To obtain the copying machine which has good appearances and can stop its original platen at a place where it overlaps with the copying machine body for transfer paper of any copying size without making the required time unnecessarily long. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine, equipped with an endless gear type original platen driving device, is equipped with a controller which detects the size of transfer paper from the ON continuance of a paper discharge sensor, compares the ON continuance To of the paper discharge sensor with a set value Tm2 (S18) when the paper discharge sensor turns OFF (S15-S17), and stops a main motor (S19) when To is larger than Tm2, but stops the main motor after waiting for To to equal Tm2 when To is less than Tm2. |
