<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency and performance of biological deodorization of malodorous gases by providing an oxidation-reduction potential controller, a pH controller, a nutrient salt adding device and an aeration device to a water storage tank for circulating water and controlling and managing the water storage tank to the environmental conditions adequate for the activity of microorganisms contributing to deodorization. CONSTITUTION:The water storage tank 4 for water (circulating water) to be sprayed to a biological deodorization column 8 is provided with the oxidation-reduction potential controller 6, the pH controller 7, the nutrient salt adding device 15 and the aeration device 5. The water storage tank 4 is controlled and managed to the environmental conditions adequate for living of the microorganisms contributing to the deodorization by these devices. Namely, the water storage tank 4 is subjected to aeration by using a part of the air or the malodorous gases and is thereby kept aerobic, by which the malodorous components accumulating in the water storage tank 4 are oxidized or decomposed and the microorganisms contributing to the deodorization washed out into the water storage tank 4 from the biological deodorization column 8 by the circulating water are activated. As a result, the biological deodorization is executed with the high efficiency and the high performance even at the time of a low temp. in a winter or cold season.</p> |
