PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of an image signal processing mode to a degree such that the mode can be recognized as the image signal processing mode, in which the motions of motion vectors can be compensated by comparing first and second motion vectors with each other, so as to obtain an image signal processing mode control signal. CONSTITUTION: Image signals are impressed upon a motion vector evaluator ME, and an evaluated motion vector is impressed upon a length deciding circuit L which decides the true length of the moving vector. The output of the circuit L is impressed upon a first adding circuit Σ2T, and the sum of motion vectors in two successive field periods is decided (action signal). The output of the evaluation ME is impressed upon a field delay circuit DT, and the difference between the input and output of the circuit DT is impressed upon a second adding circuit ΣT. The output of the circuit ΣT is impressed upon the first input of a comparator COMP-R, and the second input of the comparator COMP-R is connected to the output of the circuit Σ2T through a multiplier which multiplies the action signal by threshold reliability ThR. Therefore, the sum of a plurality of vector length differences divided by the action signal is compared with the threshold reliability ThR. |
