PURPOSE:To execute plotting of a graphic to a bit map at a high speed and with the same quality to each display device by dividing the bit map of a target display device and requesting the plotting of the graphic to an exclusive plotting device, and combining them. CONSTITUTION:A graphic plotting device 10 contains a vector expanding device 12 for expanding a graphic command to a bit map at a high speed, and the bit map 11 which becomes an object of expansion by this device 12. Also, a bit map 20 corresponding to a display device, and a display device of a printer device, etc., is secured as a memory allocated dynamically onto a main storage device of a computer. Subsequently, the bit map 20 of a target display device is divided into bit maps of plottable size provided in the graphic plotting device 10, and a graphic command corresponding to each divided rectangular area (i, j) is retrieved from a secondary storage device, and transferred to the graphic plotting device 10, there by, graphic plotting to the bit map 11 is requested. Next, by combining them, plotting is executed to the bit map of size corresponding to the display device. |
