PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence probability of an arc discharge, to prevent gas from deteriorating, and to make a gas laser device of this design high in efficiency and long in service life by a method wherein Ne is added to a laser medium gas. CONSTITUTION:A laser medium of a mixed gas is composed of CO2 and He, where the ratio of He to CO2 is 10% or less and 50% or less Ne(neon gas) of He is contained. By this setup, a glow discharge is stabilized, the occurrence rate of arc is reduced, and an oscillation output is increased two times or so. |
