PURPOSE:To improve a starting characteristic as well as to eliminate a grating noise of gears, by disengaging the existing gear when a car speed goes down to below the specified value, while controlling an engine speed so as to become a synchronous speed, engaging a starting gear, and under this condition, making a clutch stand by without being engaged. CONSTITUTION:When a car speed comes to the specified value just before its stop, the existing gear is disengaged, controlling an engine speed so as to become a synchronous speed, and a starting gear is engaged, and under this condition, making a clutch 30 stand by without being engaged. Therefore, since a car starts with only engagement of the clutch 30, a starting characteristic is improved. Moreover, the engine speed is shifted to the starting gear with the synchronized speed so that a grating noise of gears is prevented from occurring. In addition, gear shifting to the starting gear takes place under the state of revolution, whereby any drag of a dog clutch is kept back. |
