<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a steering wheel from its excessive steering action, by reducing steering assisting force in accordance with a rotary angle of the steering wheel, when it is controlled to be turned, or generating the turning action in the reverse direction, in the case of a reach forklift placed in a condition of advance running. CONSTITUTION:A control device, which provides a potentiometer 28 outputting a torque signal when a steering wheel rotates, rotary encoder 31 outputted a signal corresponding to the rotary speed of a running motor and its rotary direction and a potentiometer 33 outputting a signal corresponding to a rotary angle of the steering wheel, inputs each output signal to a control circuit 41. In this control circuit 41, when a running direction signal is decided to be the advance running-corresponding signal of a forklift, a steering assisting force- reducing signal corresponding to a steering signal is generated and added to the torque signal, and a steering assisting force-reducing correction signal is obtained. And a servo motor 12 is driven by driving electric power for assisting the steering corresponding to said correction signal.</p> |
