PURPOSE: To obtain an especially effective catalytic composition which enables to realize a high yield without sticking or aggregation of the catalyst or without further accelerating the corrosion of a reactor. CONSTITUTION: This catalytic composition for oxychlorination contains copper chloride, magnesium chloride, lithium chloride and at least one alkaline metal chloride other than lithium chloride, which are deposited on an inert support.
