The support is made from a sheet metal body with two opposite walls (5,6) whose upper edges (3,4) are angled inwards and downwards to form a rack. The edges of the adjoining wall panel (14) at right angles to these profiled edges (9,10) are arranged in the plane thereof. The wall panels are welded together with the exception of the end sides (22,23) of the profiled sections. The support is made by bending up the vertical profiled arms from a flat metal plate and then bending down the inner lower support arms. The stop face of the upright profiled arm can be so high that it serves as a stop face for a pallet holding the barrels. USE/ADVANTAGE - For oil barrels and other liquids which are dangerous to the environment. Easier manufacture with the welding seams in one uniform direction allowing the use of automatic welding machines.
