<p>Machine for cutting tiles, particularly made of earthenware (pottery), including: a framework (1) which exhibits a flat bottom (2) intended to support a tile for the purpose of cutting it, a cutting axis (7) of the said bottom, the said bottom exhibiting two longitudinal ends (3,4) and, close to a first (3) of the said longitudinal ends, a first slit (16) capable of receiving a first edge (20) of a tile (12) to be cut, centred in the plane P containing the cutting axis (7) and perpendicular to the bottom (2) of the framework; a device (6) of longitudinal slideways parallel to the cutting axis (7); a first slider (8) mounted so as to move on the said slideways device, supporting a tool (9) for cutting the tiles; and, a longitudinal section (13), secured to the framework (1), located parallel to the cutting axis (7), having an edge (14) located projecting with respect to the bottom (2) of the framework, this edge being contained in the plane (P) perpendicular to the bottom (2) containing the cutting axis (7) and intended to allow the tile (12) to be broken once the cutting thereof has been carried out; a second slider (22) mounted so as to slide along the section (13) for breaking the tiles, and exhibiting a second slit (24) which is capable of receiving a second edge (28) of the said tile (12) to be cut, which edge is centred in the plane (P) containing the cutting axis (7) and perpendicular to the bottom (2) of the framework, and of which the orientation with respect to the said plane (P) is kept constant by means of the said breaking section (13). <IMAGE></p> |
