<p>PURPOSE:To remove NOx at a high degree of efficiency by introducing H2O2 into many stages and providing a plurality of catalyst beds in a method wherein NH3 and H2O2 are added to exhaust gas containing NOx to reduce and decompose NOx in the absence of a catalyst and then the remaining NOx is reduced with NH3 over a catalyst to denitrate the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas 7 containing NOx from a gas turbin, etc. is introduced into a duct 4 where NH3 and H2O2 from nozzles 1, 2 are added to the gas and NOx is decomposed in the gaseous phase. The exhaust gas is passed through a metal oxide based catalyst bed 5, thereby the remaining NOx is contacted with unreacted NH3 to reduce NOx. After H2O2 from a nozzle 3 is added to the gas, the resulting gas is passed through a catalyst bed 6 to denitrate the gas.</p> |
