<p>PURPOSE: To avoid a fault that a memory with large capacity is needed and that a time which is needed for processing is taken for a long time, when the range of a bit rate is wide in a method for supervising and also limiting a bit rate of a virtual access in a transmission system by a Leaky packet method. CONSTITUTION: Two storage locations which store a shortest permissible time interval of two messages that belong to an equal virtual access are provided, a multiple of the shortest permissible time interval is stored in one of them, also a ratio of the multiple and the shortest permissible time interval is stored in the other, and a ratio of both memory contents is formed, when a current counter state is calculated to show the shortest permissible interval.</p> |
