PURPOSE:To facilitate getting-ON/OFF and reduce the labor for readjusting the height of a steering wheel by installing a height adjusting means for adjusting the relative position between a handle post and a swing setting body and a position changing means for locking the handle post at a retreat position and a steering position. CONSTITUTION:A tilt mechanism 28 is equipped with a height setting means 29 for adjusting a steering wheel to a height corresponding to the driver's body and a position change means 30 for retreating the steering wheel forwardly upward. A swing setting body 33 is arranged on the side surface of a handle post 4. When a tilt pedal 46 is stepped ON, lock is released, and the swing setting body 33, handle post 4, etc., are set to a retreat position C (tilt up), and a hooking part 46A is engaged with the first engagement part 42, and the steering wheel is locked. In case of tilt down, the hooking part 46A is engaged with the second engagement part 44 of the swing setting body 33, and the handle post 4 is set to a steering position B, and then set to an original height set by the swing setting body 33. |
