At least one of the wheel holders, or parts of it, holds one wheel movable parallel to at least one geometric wheel axis and between two bearing positions with centering devices and arranged on an adjustment carriage. One holder has a rotary drive for continuous rotation of the corresp. wheel. One of the holders (4a) has a bearing position with a clamp acting radially wrt. the geometric axis, or two bearing points (55,69), one of which is mounted on a carriage (60) and adjustable in the direction of the geometric axis. The other holder (3a) has two bearing points (8,39) on one carriage (30), both holders being adjustable by motors in the direction of the geometric axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for two edge roller gear wheel test equipment. Enables motorized positioning and engagement of gear wheels under test.
