The spring has a housing with a piston/cylinder unit (2-4). The piston is connected to a power-transmitting unit (5), there is a ring cylinder (6), and the whole is enclosed by a vessel (7). A truncated cone-shaped impermeable membrane (8) divides the ring cylinder into separate relatively sealed chambers (9,10). The ends of the membrane are fastened to the ring cylinder bases (11,12). A unit, sealed to the outside, consists of the vessel, formed as a fluid-steam and gas container, a heater device, and a chamber (9). There are non/regulatable feed and discharge connections (13,14) between vessel and chamber. A second similar unit is formed by the second chamber, the cylinder chamber (15), and connections (16). Housing or power transmitting unit are fastened to the vehicle chassis or to wheel/axle guide. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compensates for static load-dependant spring travel variations of the main spring within a certain range.
