<p>PURPOSE: To manage power consumption to be decreased. CONSTITUTION: In a system such as a memory subsystem 14 having more than one memory banks 30, electric energy necessary for the operations of more than one elements is monitored, and a usable power mode is held for each element by using a score board in a memory controller 20. At the time of decreasing a power supplied to a specific element, access is performed to the score board, the minimum usable power level is decided for the element, and the electric energy corresponding to the minimum power level is impressed to the element. Thus, the electric energy to be supplied to the element can be decreased. In one configuration, when access is not performed to a certain element in a preliminarily selected time amount, the element is automatically turned into the minimum power level.</p> |
