PURPOSE:To attain natural two-way talking by blinking periodically a back light and operating it synchronously with the dark state when an image pickup device is placed on a rear side of the display device and a light from a talker is picked up through the display device. CONSTITUTION:Although a visual line with a talking opposite party is made matched so far in a conventional display device, it has been impossible that high quality and natural picture display is executed. In order to solve the above problem, the video telephone set employing a two-way panel display device in which the visual lines between the user and the taking opposite party are made coincident with high picture quality is realized. Thus, when conversation is made while looking the opposite party on the display device 1, the light transmitted through the display device is formed on the rear side as the image of the talker, a CODEC 3 processes the signal to implement proper processing for the display device. Concretely, the video telephone set consists of the display device 1, the image pickup device 2 and the CODEC 3. |
