PURPOSE:To carry out uniform corona discharge processing in the width direction on the various organic film surfaces by supplying a long size organic film between a corona discharge electrode formed by sticking a large number of electrically conductive particles having acute angle parts on the discharge surface of an electrode body and a counter electrode whose surface is coated with a dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION:After a distance between a counter electrode 1 and a corona discharge electrode 5 is adjusted by means of a raising and lowering member, while rotating the electrode 1 in synchronism with supply speed of a long size PET film, alternating current voltage of 8-10kV is supplied to a bar shape electrode body 6 of the electrode 5 through two metallic rods 10 and supply terminals 9. A large number of diamond particles 8 having acute angles are stuck on the discharge surface of the bar shape electrode body 6 through an electrodeposition layer 7, and the surface of the electrode 1 is coated with an alumina dielectric layer 3. Thereby, coronas 13 are discharged uniformly toward the electrode 1 from acute angle parts of the particles 8, and the high energy coronas 13 are radiated uniformly to the surface of the film 12, and corona processing is carried out on the surface of the film 12, so that wettability is improved remarkably. |
