The contaienr (1) filled with compostable material has closable openings (2) for loading and unloading. Venting tubes (3) are divided and can be cut off by valves (5), being provided with air outlet apertures. A blower (8) sucks air via a pipe conduit (4) out of the upper part of the container (1) and presses it into the cooler (9) and from their via the valves (5) and the venting tubes (3) into the container (1) again. From a regulatable branch valve (6) this circuit has a part quantity removed from it and via an odour filter (10) discharged into the atmos.. On the container (1) is fitted a safety valve (7) which prevents a harmful vacuum appertaining in the container. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the compositing of bio-waste matter. The container used is mobile and suitable for movement by road, obviates smell pollution of the atmos., and obviates the risk of damage during loading and unloading.
