PURPOSE:To decrease curl at a time of printing and also to decrease sticking of ink and paper by regulating roughness of the face of a film to the specified roughness in an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer which has a dying layer for accepting dye thermally transferred from a transfer sheet on the surface side of the stretched opaque film having voids. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving sheet for thermal transfer has a dying layer 2 for accepting dye thermally transferred from a transfer sheet on the surface side of a stretched opaque film 1 (i.e., stretched polyester film) having voids. In the image receiving sheet for thermal transfer, roughness of the surface of at least one side of the film 1 is regulated to 0.15-1.20mu shown as centerline average roughness Ra specified by JIS.B0601. As a result, curl is decreased at a time of printing and also sticking of ink and paper is decreased. Further blocking resistance is enhanced at a time of preservation at the high temperature. |
