PURPOSE:To forecast the sales number of commodities more correctly and without taking a handling time so as to facilitate the determination of the proper purchasing number of the commodities, and besides, to ship the commodity at good timing by forecasting the sales number of the commodities by grasping quantitatively the chance loss of the sales number of the commodities expected to be sold. CONSTITUTION:A data input part 41 executes processing to read in the data of various files stored in an external storage device 15. A purchase occurrence rate calculating part 42 executes the processing to determine the 'purchase occurrence rate' being the ratio of the sales number of the commodities for the number of customers classified at every commodity separated by a time zone on the basis of the inputted data. A sudden decrease of purchase occurrence rate retrieving part 43 executes the processing to investigate whether there is the time zone in which the purchase occurrence rate classified by the time zone is below a definite value or not. A chance loss calculating part 44 executes the processing to calculate the number of the chance losses of the retrieved zone from the purchase occurrence rate and the number of the customers. A result output working part 45 executes the processing to work the calculated number of the chance losses into a table or a graph and output it. |
