PURPOSE:To eliminate the wasteful distribution of program resource and to efficiently use computer resource by distributing only the latest update program to a work station. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a host computer 20 having a program distribution processing part 2, the program resource 3 comprised of plural programs used in the work stations 1-1 to 1-n, and a version number registration part 35 which lets an updated program be a distribution object when the update of the program resource 3 is generated and provided with distribution program information 31 generated by adding distributed version number information and the version number information of the updated program distributed at each of the work stations 1-1 to 1-n. The program distribution processing part 2, when receiving the supply request of the program from the work stations 1-1 to 1-n, retrieves the distribution program information 31 based on the version number information of the version number registration part 35, and extracts the program provided with the latest number of program version, and distributes by reading out the program from the program resource 3.
